Osimhen warns Barcelona as Flick prepares for ‘world’s loudest stadium’

Victor Osimhen has welcomed the challenge of facing Barcelona as Galatasaray prepare to host the Spanish champions in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League tie at RAMS Park.
Both sides arrive in Istanbul after convincing domestic victories. Galatasaray beat Kasimpasa 3-1 on Friday, before Barcelona recorded a 3-0 win against Getafe the following day.
Barcelona’s recent form has been particularly strong. They have won all eight of their La Liga matches and followed that run with a 5-1 Champions League victory over Feyenoord.
Flick highlights Osimhen threat
Despite Barcelona’s exceptional results, manager Hansi Flick expects a demanding evening against Galatasaray. The German coach has identified Osimhen as one of the main dangers his side must contain, while also warning his players about the intensity of the home support.
Flick described RAMS Park as the “world’s loudest stadium” and said the atmosphere in Istanbul would add to the difficulty of the match.
Galatasaray’s squad contains significant attacking quality, but Osimhen is expected to be central to their plans after making his return from injury in the victory over Kasimpasa.
His availability is a major boost for the Turkish champions, who have beaten Barcelona only once in 10 previous meetings.
Osimhen confident despite Barcelona record
The 27-year-old Nigeria striker is relishing the chance to compete against one of Europe’s leading clubs and remains confident Galatasaray can challenge Barcelona, despite their record against the Catalan side.
Osimhen, regarded as Turkey’s most valuable player, also recognises the problems created by Barcelona’s possession-based football. The former Napoli striker believes Galatasaray will need to combine their enthusiasm with discipline if they are to have a realistic chance of success.
“You shouldn’t be happy,” Osimhen said in a warning directed at Barcelona ahead of the encounter.
The striker has already faced Barcelona four times during his career, all while playing for Napoli. He has scored once and supplied one assist in those matches.
However, Osimhen has yet to record a victory against the Camp Nou landlords. His four meetings with Barcelona have produced two defeats and two draws.
The Galatasaray forward will now look to improve that personal record while helping his current club overcome a difficult historical run against the Spanish champions.
