Rangers to show champions’ character against Remo Stars – Chinemerem Ugwueze
By Wale Mustapha
Enugu Rangers captain Chinemerem Ugwueze is optimistic about securing a positive result against Remo Stars on Sunday, emphasizing that it will reinforce the team’s commitment to defending their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
The Flying Antelopes, fresh off an important away win against Ikorodu City, are eager to build on their momentum as they face last season’s runners-up.
Ugwueze, who scored the crucial goal in the previous match, expressed confidence in his team’s readiness.
“If we are going to successfully defend the title we won last season, we need to pick points on the road and consolidate with our good home form,” he said.
He acknowledged the quality displayed by Remo Stars since the league began but insisted that Rangers are determined to achieve a favorable outcome in Ikenne.
The match is set to kick off at 5:30 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2024, and Ugwueze is hopeful that the team’s preparation will lead to a successful performance.
