Raphael Odogwu: Italy-Nigeria forward linked with Treviso move from Sudtirol

Italy-Nigeria forward Raphael Odogwu is being linked with a move from Serie B side Sudtirol to Treviso in Serie C/A as the 35-year-old considers the next step in his career.

Odogwu, who was born in Verona and plays as a centre-forward, is under contract with Sudtirol until 30 June 2027, so any switch would likely require a fee with his current market value listed at around €250,000. Treviso are understood to be exploring experienced attacking options as they look to strengthen their squad with a proven performer in the Italian lower leagues.

The left-footed striker has been a central figure for Sudtirol since arriving from Virtus Verona in September 2020 on a free transfer, helping the club win the Serie C Group A title in 2021–22. He has since established himself in Serie B, making 134 appearances in the division and contributing 25 goals and 18 assists.

Odogwu’s track record in the third and fourth tiers is also significant, with notable spells in Serie C and Serie D that produced consistent scoring returns, including 47 league goals in one Serie D group and 20 in another during his career. That experience is seen as particularly valuable for a club like Treviso, who are operating in the same regional and competitive landscape in which he has spent much of his career.

For now, Odogwu remains a Sudtirol player and is tied to the club for another year beyond this season, leaving his current employers in a strong position should Treviso decide to formalise their interest.
