Rasheedat Ajibade makes 2023 Women’s International Championship Cup XI

Nigeria forward, Rasheedat Ajibade is one of the players who won the Women’s International Championship Cup (WICC) XI for 2023.

The award was in recognition of the player’s achievements on and off the pitch during the year under review.

The Atletico Madrid star was part of the Super Falcons squad that reached the Round of 16 at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia.

She also made waves with the Spanish women’s top-flight side, Atletico Madrid, a club she joined in 2021.

Outside the field of play, Ajibade is also into activism with the hashtag #standoutwithrash a campaign she organised in partnership with top athlete branding company, Eaglestracker.

The former FC Robo Queens captain launched her foundation (Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation) in 2023.

The foundation is aimed at providing mentorship opportunities in sports and education to youths across Nigeria with a focus on gender equality.

Ajibade is a key player for the national team and her club side in Spain.

Her mentorship and leadership skills are exceptional on and off the field.
