Sevilla coach Garcia Pimienta backs Kelechi Iheanacho to find top form

Garcia Pimienta, head coach of LaLiga side Sevilla, has expressed his confidence in Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho, believing he will soon hit his stride with the club.

Iheanacho joined the Rojiblancos as a free agent during the summer transfer window but has yet to make a significant impact, having made just two league appearances so far this season.

He did not feature in Sevilla’s recent match against Getafe, but Pimienta remains optimistic.

“He [Iheanacho] has been with us all week and is doing well,” Pimienta noted. “He didn’t play last week because he had only recently returned from international duty and was tired from all the traveling.”

The coach emphasized Iheanacho’s skills and potential, stating, “He’s a great player and we have full faith in him. He brings quality and can take his chance when it comes.”

As Sevilla prepares to face Alaves this weekend, all eyes will be on Iheanacho as he aims to showcase his abilities on the pitch.
