“They’re trying to find the money” — Turkish reporter says Galatasaray wants Osimhen

By Monsurah Olatunji

Renowned Turkish transfer journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu has revealed that Galatasaray is making every effort financially to secure Victor Osimhen after the striker rejected a transfer offer from Manchester United.

Osimhen has been in the spotlight since the January transfer window opened, with several top European clubs, including Manchester United, linked to the 26-year-old.

The Nigerian forward has been in exceptional form for Galatasaray since joining on a season-long loan from Napoli last summer. He has made 18 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 6 assists this season.

Speaking on a YouTube podcast, Sabuncuoğlu shared his insights into the ongoing transfer rumors, particularly the speculation linking Osimhen to Old Trafford. He described a transfer meeting he witnessed and offered his perspective.

“If Galatasaray finds the money for Victor Osimhen, they will buy him. They are also trying to find the money,” Sabuncuoğlu said, as reported by habersarikirmizi.com.

“I don’t think he will go on an interim transfer. There was a transfer meeting I witnessed. Manchester United wanted him, but he (Osimhen) rejected them.”
