Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi has voiced his frustration following Leicester City’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Despite playing a key role in setting up both of Leicester’s goals, Ndidi was disheartened that his team fell short of securing their first win of the season.

Ndidi delivered a crucial assist for Jamie Vardy’s goal in the 27th minute, threading a precise pass that allowed Vardy to round Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson and score.

Shortly after, he capitalized on a poor clearance from Palace debutant Maxence Lacroix to set up Stephy Mavididi, who scored to give Leicester a 2-0 lead.

However, Leicester could not maintain their advantage, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park.

“It was very disappointing because we almost had it,” Ndidi told the club’s official website.

“The result does not reflect our performance. But this is the Premier League, and anything can happen at any moment.

“You could see the fight that Crystal Palace put up and what they were trying to do in the game. We actually did brilliantly to stay in the game after they scored their first goal.”

Ndidi added, “It’s just so unlucky, especially with the penalty. We did really well, but we couldn’t get the win.”
