NPFL: Usman Abdallah seals deal to become Kano Pillars Technical Adviser

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Kano Pillars have agreed in principle to appoint Usman Abdallah as the club’s new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2024/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The Pyramid club made this known in a post on their social media pages in the wake of request for applications following the cancellation of contract deal with Paul Offor.

“Exciting News for Kano Pillars Fans! 🚨We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve reached an agreement in principle to appoint Usman Abdallah as our new Technical Adviser,” the club announced.

“Stay tuned for more details on the contract and what’s next for the team. Let’s go, Sai Masu Gida! 💛💚.”

Abdallah has coached teams in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and Nigeria National League (NNL) with vast experience in both leagues.

The former Super Eagles Assistant coach has worked at the likes of Wikki Tourists and Enyimba International FC. Two years ago, he guided Katsina United to NPFL promotion.

The announcement ended weeks of uncertainties after the appointment of former Sporting Lagos coach, Offor by the former Kano Pillars management.

The new management parted ways with Offor this week, which spurred the search for a new manager.

Kano Pillars finished the 2023/2024 season in the 11th position with 52 points, six places, and six points above the relegation zone.
