Rumour Mills: Sevilla coach awaits Kelechi Iheanacho’s decision on next move

By Wale Mustapha

Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta has stated that Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has the freedom to choose his next club as he considers a potential departure.

The Super Eagles forward, who joined Sevilla last summer, has received offers from clubs in England, Greece, France, and Turkey.

However, his six-month stint at the Spanish club has been less than successful, as he has yet to score in nine La Liga appearances.

Pimienta confirmed that Sevilla are open to letting Iheanacho leave, either on loan or permanently, and that the final decision is entirely in the hands of the player.

“He has many offers and is deciding which is the best option. He has absolute freedom to decide. He will be called up, but he has to decide which is his best option,” Pimienta said during a press conference on Friday.
