NPFL: Kano Pillars’ management praises players’ passion despite defeat to Remo Stars

By Wale Mustapha

The management of Kano Pillars FC has praised their players for their passionate display, despite suffering a 2-1 defeat to Remo Stars in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 23 encounter last time.

The Pyramid Boys battled against the current league leaders in Ikenne but were narrowly defeated.

Kano Pillars’ chairman, Ali Muhammad Umar, lauded the players’ commitment throughout the match, encouraging them to build on the positives from the performance.

“I must commend the players and the technical crew for the way they approached the game. From the first whistle to the end of regulation time, they played with passion and dominated the match,” Umar said.

“Sometimes, football can be cruel, and we were just unlucky not to secure all three points.”

He continued, “We must build on this performance. The season is still ongoing, and I believe with more effort, we will achieve our objectives.”

Kano Pillars will next face rivals Katsina United in a rescheduled Matchday 20 encounter at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday.
