NWFL: Remo Stars Ladies strengthen squad with two more players

Ahead of the second stanza of the 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season, Remo Stars have been unveiling their recruits.

On Monday, the Sky Blue Stars announced the arrival of forward, Yetunde Ayantosho to their fold.

Ayantosho joined from fellow NWFL Premiership side Heartland Queens, where she featured during the first stanza.

She previously played for Osun Babes and was a former Nigerian youth international.

Relatively, midfielder, Ayomide Adewale also joined the Sky Blue Ladies ahead of Wednesday’s Matchday eight clash with Nasarawa Amazons in Lafia.

Adewale moved from Confluence Queens, where she was a member of the Kogi state-based side during the first stanza.

She became the fourth arrival during the mid-season break.

Last weekend, the Ikenne-based side welcomed Eberechukwu Oleka and Omotoke Ogunfuwa from Osun Babes and Dannaz Ladies, respectively.

Wemimo Mathew’s side seats top of Group A ahead of the second stanza with six wins and a draw.
