Two second-half goals from substitutes Haruna Hadi and Joseph Abah helped Remo Stars to a thrilling 2-2 draw against Lobi Stars on Wednesday.
The encounter that was decided at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu was rescheduled Matchday 30 of Nigeria Premier Football League.
Lobi Stars who are battling to beat drop to the lower division took the lead in the 35th minute through Johnmark Aule.
Onyekachi Okafor doubled the lead for Tony Bolus’ side three minutes before the break with a well taken spot kick.
Coach Daniel Ogunmodede ringed his line up at the start of the second with the introduction of both Hadi and Abah replacing Sikiru Alimi and Seun Ogunribigbe.
It didn’t take much time for Hadi to reduced the deficit for the visitors as he connected well with a through pass from Sodiq Ismaila.
Abah would then even the score line for the league leaders in the 70th minute took advantage of mixup in Lobi defense.
The result has further brighten Remo Stars’ chances of winning their first ever NPFL title as they now lead the table with 61 points, six ahead of second placed Rivers United.
Contrastingly, Lobi Stars stayed further rooted to the bottom of the log following another disappointing result.
