Jacob Vandi Resigns as Head Coach of Ekiti Queens After One Season

Jacob Vandi has stepped down from his role as head coach of Ekiti Queens after just one season at the helm.

Vandi, who joined Ekiti Queens from Adamawa Queens, is widely credited with stabilizing the team and ensuring their continued presence in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL Premiership).

Before his tenure at Ekiti Queens, Vandi successfully led Adamawa Queens to the NWFL Premiership Super Six playoffs, showcasing his ability to guide teams to competitive success.

Known for his soft-spoken demeanor, the tactician is praised for his attacking style of play and a strong emphasis on player development.

  • Adamawa Queens (Prior to 2024): Vandi guided Adamawa Queens to the NWFL Premiership Super Six playoffs, showcasing his ability to lead teams to the upper echelons of Nigerian women’s football.
  • Ekiti Queens (2024–2025): Upon joining Ekiti Queens, Vandi’s leadership was instrumental in stabilizing the team, ensuring they maintained their position in the NWFL Premiership. His tenure marked a period of growth and competitiveness for the club.
