Liverpool have officially confirmed that Emmanuel Airoboma has signed his first professional contract with the club, marking a major step in the promising defender’s career.
The 18-year-old, who remains eligible to represent Nigeria, has been part of the Reds’ Academy system since joining at the Under-12 level after being scouted from grassroots football.
Over the years, he has developed into a highly versatile player, capable of operating as a centre-back or right full-back, offering valuable flexibility to his coaches.
Airoboma was a key figure for Liverpool’s Under-18 side last season, where he consistently impressed with his defensive awareness and composure.
His steady progress has now earned him promotion to the Under-21 squad under coach Rob Page, as he continues his development with the long-term goal of breaking into the senior team.
Liverpool hailed his signing as part of their continued commitment to nurturing homegrown and academy talent, with Airoboma seen as one of the club’s brightest prospects for the future.
