El-Kanemi Warriors set final clash with Ikorodu City in President Federation Cup

Three-time winners El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will face Ikorodu City in the men’s final of this year’s President Federation Cup after both sides booked their places in contrasting semi-final encounters.
At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Ikorodu City continued their giant-killing run, edging past Nasarawa United 4–2 on penalties after a 1–1 draw in regulation time. The result deepened Nasarawa United’s painful history at the venue, which has now seen them fall short in another dramatic shootout.
The encounter echoed a familiar pattern for the “Solid Miners,” who had previously suffered heartbreak in a 2–2 draw final five years ago before losing on penalties to Bayelsa United.
In the other semi-final played in Katsina, El-Kanemi Warriors showed their pedigree as former champions of 1991, 1992 and 2024, defeating Wikki Tourists 3–1 to reach their second final in two years.
