Nigeria winger Malachy Clement joins Sparta Kolin on free transfer
Nigeria winger Malachy Clement has joined Sparta Kolin from Fastav Vsetin on a free transfer, completing his move on 28 August 2026.
The 23-year-old right winger becomes a Sparta Kolin player after two years with Vsetin, where he arrived from Trinec in July 2024. Clement’s move keeps him in Czech football and adds another new chapter to a career that has so far been built across the country’s league system.
Born in Abuja, Clement came through the youth set-up at Karvina before moving into senior football. He joined Karvina’s under-19 side from FC TBC in May 2021 and progressed to Karvina B the following year.
Clement was part of the Karvina set-up during the 2022-23 campaign, when the club won the Czech second division. He moved to Trinec in July 2023 before switching to Vsetin the following summer.
His preferred position is on the right wing, where he provides Sparta Kolin with a specialist attacking option. The club’s new signing has previously been registered for the MOL Cup and the Moravskoslezska fotbalova liga, the competition listed for Sparta Kolin during the 2026-27 season.
Clement’s arrival comes at the start of the new campaign. Sparta Kolin have been listed for three possible MOL Cup matches and four possible Moravskoslezska fotbalova liga fixtures, although the Nigerian has not yet made an appearance in either competition this season.
The move is Clement’s third change of club since leaving Karvina’s reserve side, following free transfers to Trinec and then Fastav Vsetin. His latest switch also represents a continuation of his career in the Czech Republic, where he has spent his senior playing years.
Clement now begins his time with Sparta Kolin after leaving Fastav Vsetin without a transfer fee, with the completed move recorded on 28 August 2026.
