Juventus include Jeff Ekhator in Europa League squad after Locatelli injury

Juventus have added Super Eagles-eligible forward Jeff Ekhator to their UEFA Europa League squad after midfielder Manuel Locatelli was ruled out with an injury.
The 19-year-old joined Juventus before the end of the summer transfer window following an impressive spell with Genoa, where he scored five goals in 57 appearances across all competitions.
Ekhator’s ability to play in several attacking positions, alongside his performances for Genoa, persuaded Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti to approve the move to the Juventus Stadium.
However, his first months at the club have been disrupted by injury. Since completing his transfer, Ekhator has not made an appearance for Juventus in any competition.
Despite that difficult start, Juventus confirmed his inclusion in their UEFA Europa League squad in a social media announcement following Locatelli’s injury.
The opportunity gives Ekhator the chance to establish himself at Juventus. He will now aim to regain full fitness, recover his best form and demonstrate to Spalletti that he can compete and contribute for the club.
