Napoli provide an injury update on Victor Osimhen

Italian side Napoli has declared Victor Osimhen injury-free and will be available to take on Fiorentina over the weekend.

Osimhen suffered some muscle pain in Napoli’s win over Atalanta but he is now ok and fit to face Fiorentina.

Victor Osimhen had felt a nuisance in yesterday’s training. The Napoli striker worried both Spalletti and the fans a lot, also via social media, in which he had written that he should have stopped. Checks by doctors obviously followed.

“After complaining of a feeling of discomfort during training yesterday Victor Osimhen was seen by the club’s medical staff. The Nigerian forward underwent tests and it was determined that he hadn’t suffered an injury,” a statement from Napoli read on Thursday.

“Today Osimhen followed a personalized schedule in training, covering gym and pitch work.”
