Injury Update: Wolves defender Max Kilman expected to miss rest of season

Bruno Lage has hinted that Max Kilman would miss the remainder of the season due to injury.

The 24-year-old has had the greatest season of his career, making 30 Premier League starts and performing at such a high level that he has drawn the attention of England manager Gareth Southgate.

However, the center-back missed last weekend’s loss to Burnley due to a twisted ankle, and Lage has made it clear that one of his key men will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season.

Speaking to reporters, as quoted by the Daily Mail, Lage said: “Max twisted his ankle and it will be hard for him to return. He will recover but there is less than a month until the end of the season.

“We need to understand what the problem is and the doctors are doing a fantastic job.”

Despite rumored interest from bigger teams in the Premier League, Kilman is set to remain at Wolves this summer with almost four years left on his contract.
