Ajayi, who previously played for CS Sfaxien, was given a brief opportunity to showcase his skills when he replaced Alex Iwobi in the dying minutes of the game. Speaking to CSN, the talented striker revealed his desire for additional game time, stating, “It was a dream come true, but I wished I had more time. Nevertheless, I will work tirelessly to earn another chance to play for the team.”
With several friendly matches scheduled before the highly anticipated World Cup, Ajayi remains optimistic about his chances of securing more playing time. Despite the unfavorable result against Serbia, the striker believes there are valuable lessons to be learned from the experience.

He acknowledged Ighalo’s willingness to share his expertise and revealed, “We learn every day, and I did pick up some valuable tips from Ighalo, who was incredibly supportive during our time in camp.”
