Bamidele Isa Yusuf’s brilliant 73rd-minute strike secured a thrilling 1-0 victory for Vojvodina FC over Jedinstvo FC, lifting them to 6th place in the Serbia Super Liga table.
The Nigerian forward’s 11th goal of the season, along with 2 assists, reinforces his position as the league’s second-highest goal scorer, trailing only Cherif Ndiaye of Crvena Zvezda, who has netted 16 goals.
With the league entering its decisive phase, where the top 8 teams will compete in a playoff to determine the champion, Vojvodina FC’s win is crucial.
Crvena Zvezda currently leads the standings with 77 points from 27 matches.
Vojvodina FC faces a tough challenge on Saturday, traveling to 4th-placed OFK Beograd.
Yusuf’s exceptional form will be key to their hopes of securing another vital result.
