Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo linked with Strasbourg move

Tosin Adarabioyo, the English-Nigerian centre-back at Chelsea, is being linked with a move to French club Strasbourg.

The 28-year-old’s name has emerged in connection with a transfer from the Premier League side to Ligue 1, although the move remains at the rumour stage and no agreement has been confirmed.

Adarabioyo joined Chelsea from Fulham on a free transfer in July 2024 and has a contract with the club until 30 June 2028. His current market value is listed at €16m.

He was part of the Chelsea side that won the Conference League in the 2024-25 season and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025. Chelsea also finished as FA Cup runners-up in 2025-26, with Adarabioyo credited with two goals in the competition.

The London-born defender began his senior career at Manchester City before moving to Fulham in 2020. He made 104 Championship appearances for Fulham and helped the club win the second tier and secure promotion to the Premier League in 2021-22.

Adarabioyo has made 116 Premier League appearances during his career, scoring four goals and providing one assist. He has also played in the Champions League, Europa Conference League and domestic cup competitions.

Any move to Strasbourg would therefore involve a player under contract at Chelsea for a further two seasons, with the proposed switch yet to progress beyond the rumour stage.
