Warri Wolves confident ahead of Enyimba clash

Warri Wolves manager Hassan Abdallah says his side are ready to face Enyimba with confidence in their Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday Nine fixture on Sunday.

The Seasiders will make the trip to Enyimba International Stadium in Aba to take on the nine-time league champions, with Abdallah calling for a disciplined and organised display from his players.

He said concentration would be essential throughout the contest, while insisting Warri Wolves would not be overawed by the strength or status of their opponents.

“We respect our opponents, but we are going into the game with belief in our ability. The players understand what is required of them, and our focus is on putting in a good performance and getting a positive result. We will approach the match with the right mentality and give our best,” Abdallah told the club’s media.

The coach’s comments come as Warri Wolves continue their campaign in the 2026/27 NPFL season, with the club seeking a result that would provide encouragement against one of the competition’s most successful teams.

Captain Innocent Orukpe has also backed the visitors to compete strongly in Aba, saying the squad remain motivated and focused on the challenge ahead.

Orukpe stressed that consistency would be important as Warri Wolves look to build momentum over the course of the league campaign.

“We are highly motivated and focused on the task ahead. We know the league is a marathon, and what matters is how consistently we perform as a team,” he said.

“We must remain disciplined, believe in ourselves and keep working together to achieve our objectives. We are optimistic about getting a positive result in Aba.”

Warri Wolves will now look to match their confidence with an effective performance when they meet Enyimba on their home ground on Sunday.
