David Otorbi linked with Newcastle move from Valencia

Spain and Nigeria dual-national David Otorbi has been linked with a move from Valencia to Newcastle in the Premier League.
The 19-year-old right winger has made eight La Liga appearances for Valencia this season, scoring once and completing 331 minutes of action. He has started 22% of the club’s possible league matches and has played 41% of the available minutes.
Otorbi moved into Valencia’s first-team squad from Valencia B on 1 July 2026, having progressed through the club’s youth system. He is under contract until 30 June 2028, meaning Valencia are not facing an immediate expiry that would allow the player to leave on a free transfer.
His current market value is listed at €3.5m. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported as part of the Newcastle link.
Born in Valencia, Otorbi is eligible to represent both Spain and Nigeria. He has been used primarily on the right side of Valencia’s attack during his first season with the senior team, having previously played for the club’s under-19 side and reserve team.
The reported Newcastle interest comes as Otorbi establishes himself in La Liga, but the move remains a rumour and there is no confirmation that negotiations have taken place. His Valencia contract continues through June 2028.
