Ranchers Bees appoint Ma’aji Muhammad after Usman Abd’allah dismissal

Ranchers Bees have appointed Ma’aji Muhammad as their new technical adviser following the dismissal of Usman Abd’allah.

Abd’allah was removed from his position on Saturday after a difficult opening to the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign. The Kaduna-based club managed two wins and two draws, while suffering five defeats in the nine matches played under his leadership.

Muhammad returns to the NPFL having most recently managed Niger Tornadoes. He left that role after being replaced by Kabiru Dogo at the start of the current campaign.

The experienced tactician has been given the responsibility of reviving Ranchers Bees’ season and helping the club move away from the relegation zone.

Ranchers Bees are currently 19th in the NPFL table, with eight points from nine matches. Their position has increased the pressure on the team to improve their results and begin climbing the standings.

Muhammad’s first match in charge will come on Sunday, when Ranchers Bees host Doma United at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

The new technical adviser will be hoping to make an immediate impact as he begins the task of steering the club towards better results.
