Southampton striker Paul Onuachu is a major doubt for their upcoming English Premier League (EPL) clash against Tottenham on Sunday, as the Nigerian forward continues to struggle with an ankle injury.

Onuachu sustained the injury during the Saints’ 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace last Wednesday, a match in which he scored Southampton’s only goal before being replaced by Yukinari Sugawara in the dying minutes of the game.

“Paul has a problem with his ankle. Today he didn’t train, but we will see tomorrow,” Juric stated in a press conference ahead of the weekend fixture.

Onuachu has been an important figure for Southampton this season, scoring four goals in 20 league appearances. His potential absence would be a blow for the Saints as they prepare for a tough challenge against Tottenham.
