“Fans will see a new Samu” — Samuel Chukwueze promises Serie A greatness

By Monsurah Olatunji
Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze has pledged to deliver an impressive performance for AC Milan in the 2024/25 Serie A season, showcasing his evolution as a player.
The AC Milan winger had an encouraging display in a 3-2 preseason victory over Manchester City, where he contributed two assists.
Chukwueze, who joined Milan last summer from Villarreal for €20 million, has faced challenges breaking into the starting lineup, competing with established players like Rafael Leão and Christian Pulisic.
Despite these hurdles, the 25-year-old has made a notable impact, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
With the managerial change from Stefano Pioli to Paulo Fonseca, Chukwueze has been given more opportunities, starting in the first two preseason games.
His performance against Manchester City, including two crucial assists, underscored Fonseca’s trust in him.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin via Tuttomercatoweb, Chukwueze expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season and his commitment to making an impression on fans.
“I like the new coach; he gave me an opportunity straight away,” Chukwueze said. “It’s important when someone shows confidence in you. The fans will see a new Samu this year.”
With renewed confidence and a fresh start under Fonseca, Chukwueze is eager to make his mark and elevate his game in the upcoming Serie A season.
