“It’s like I’ve been reborn” – Chukwueze reveals secret of recent AC Milan form

Nigerian winger, Samuel Chukwueze has disclosed that inspiring words from new AC Milan coach, Paulo Fonseca was the turnaround effect of his recent form with the club.
The Super Eagles’ forward who joined the Rossoneri last summer was unable to replicate his sparkling form while at Villarreal as he struggled to break into Milan’s first team.
The Italian side have since employed Fonseca who replaced Stepano Pioli has been able to push the Nigerian international to a new height which has helped his performance.
The 25-year-old has registered one goal and two assists in four pre-season games for the Rossoneri, a feat he attributed to the new gaffer.
“He only told me one thing: Samuel, I don’t want to see the Chukwueze from last year. I want the one from Villarreal.
“And I said, ‘Okay, no problem.’ It’s like I’ve been reborn; I’m a new player,” Chukwueze told Milan Post.
He’s expected to be one of integral members of AC Milan as they aim to wrestle the Serie A title with their city rivals, Inter Milan this season.
