Moyes reportedly not overly impressed by summer signing

David Moyes says he has not been overly impressed by West Ham summer season signing Flynn Downes to date and calls for higher.

West Ham signed the midfielder on a five-year contract from Swansea in the course of the present window, in a deal understood to be value round £12m, reported the BBC.

The Hammers beat Crystal Palace to the signing of Downes earlier this summer season and it was seen as an actual coup on the time however Moyes doesn’t appear very impressed by the 23-year-old to date.

Downes, Moyes insists, will want time like so many others he has taken on from the Championship through the years.

“I feel we have to give him a little bit of time,” Moyes mentioned in regards to the 23-year-old in his pre-Brighton presser.

“As I mentioned, he would have performed (in opposition to Viborg) if it wasn’t for his toe.

“The issues I’ve seen of him, he must do higher and we’re already (engaged on these issues).
