Mubarak Suleiman scores first career brace as Slavia Prague reach 4-0 MOL Cup win

Slavia Prague midfielder Mubarak Suleiman scored twice in a match for the first time in his career as his side defeated Zbrojovka Brno 4-0 in the MOL Cup at Fortuna Arena on Tuesday evening.
The 19-year-old, who was invited to the Super Eagles camp before Nigeria’s friendly against Russia, found the net in each half as Slavia Prague progressed with a commanding victory.
Suleiman opened the scoring when he slid in to meet a cross from David Zima, directing the ball past the goalkeeper at the near post.
He added his second five minutes before full-time, curling an effort into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area after being teed up by team-mate Mojmir Chytil.
The double took Suleiman’s tally for the season to three goals and one assist in 10 appearances across all competitions.
His latest performance continues an encouraging run of form and underlines the growing importance of his role at Slavia Prague. His displays for the Czech club earned him his first invitation to the Super Eagles.
Suleiman was unable to make his Nigeria debut in October, however, after withdrawing from the squad before the friendly against Russia at Sovcombank Arena in Nizhny Novgorod.
