Napoli director Giovanni Manna reaffirms Victor Osimhen’s future

By Saheed Afolabi

Napoli director Giovanni Manna has expressed confidence that star forward Victor Osimhen will remain with the club for the upcoming season.

The Nigerian striker was previously linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but negotiations between the two clubs fell through.

Manna emphasized the unity within Napoli and reassured fans that Osimhen, along with other young talents, will not be leaving the Italian side this summer, stressing that the club’s commitment to making thoughtful decisions that align with their long-term goals.

“I am here to signal unity and to show that we are all one entity,” Manna told Football Italia. “Together, we must build something new with important values. That said, with Osimhen, Simeone, and Cheddira in attack, we are covered. There are still 30 days of the market, and we will make our evaluations.”

Manna further elaborated on the club’s strategic approach under the new coach, stressing the importance of stability and careful planning.

“This is a process, a project starting this year with the coach at its centre. We share a strategy with the club, and we are calm and clear-headed. We will not make any reckless moves but will make decisions that support our technical and tactical ideas.”

Napoli fans can take comfort in Manna’s assurances as the club prepares for the upcoming season with a focus on building a cohesive and competitive team.
