NFF Monthly Awards: Osimhen to battle Lookman, three others for maiden gong

Galatasaray loanee Victor Osimhen and Atalanta star Ademola Lookman head the list of nominees for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Player of the Month award for September in the men’s category.
The duo will compete against Victor Boniface, Wilfred Ndidi, and Josh Maja for the coveted title.
Lookman stands out with four goals, the highest among the nominees, while Osimhen, Maja, and Boniface each netted three goals during the review period. Leicester City’s Ndidi also made an impact with four assists for his English Premier League (EPL) side.
In the women’s category, Atletico Madrid forward Rasheedat Ajibade leads the nominations with an impressive five goals for her Spanish club in September.
She is joined by Roosa Ariyo (KuPS), Chinwendu Ihezuo (Pachuca), Chiamaka Nnadozie (Paris FC), and Rinsola Babajide (Costa Adeje Tenerife).
Voting for the awards is now open and will close on October 7, 2024. Fans have the opportunity to influence the outcome, as their votes will account for 40% of the final decision. The remaining 60% will be determined by journalists and industry professionals, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive selection process.
