Nigeria-eligible forward, Edna Imade scored a goal to salvage a point for Granada, as they forced Levante UD to a 2-2 draw in the Spanish Liga F match on Sunday.
Levante broke the deadlock with the first chance of the match in the second minute of play .
Laura Requena benefited from a cross before taking a right-footed shot that hit the bottom corner.
Seven minutes later, Gabi Nunes headed in Levate’s equaliser from Paula Tomas’ cross.
Into the 16th minute, the host turned the tide of the game in their favour by going ahead thanks to Redondo Ferrer’s goal.
The home side could have increased their lead save for missed chances and from Sandra Estevez in goal for Granada.
With four minutes to the end of the game, Imade was at the right place to slide a defender’s clearance into the back of the net for the equaliser.
Imade replaced Andrea Gomez in the 59th minute before scoring her third league goal of the campaign.
Granada occupy the 15th position on the table with seven points after 15 games, three points ahead of Huelva but the two teams continue to dangle in the relegation waters.
Granada will next face Athletic Bilbao in the league on February 3, 2024.
