NPFL MD 15: Lobi edge Kwara to move up log as Insurance beat Plateau in relegation battle

Matchday 15 of the 2024/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season gets underway with two games on Saturday.
Lobi Stars moved out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over Kwara United.
Peter Onah scored the winning goal for the Makurdi-based side in the 26th minute.
The win moved the host to the 16th position with 16 points while Kwara United maintained their seventh position with 20 points.
In Benin City, Bendel Insurance moved to the 18th position with a 2-1 victory against Plateau United.
Uche Collins gave Insurance the lead in the seventh minute but Victor Dawa restored parity for Plateau in the 24th minute.
Kayode Oke converted the decider for Insurance in the 66th minute.
With both sides in the relegation zone, Bendel Insurance moved up a place to the 19th position, with 15 points.
Plateau United, on the other hand, are a place above them in 18th with 15 points.
Matchday 15 games will take place from Sunday to Tuesday when Enyimba FC has a game upon return from the continental assignment.
