Nasarawa Amazons delivered a commanding performance against their zonal rivals, Confluence Queens, winning 5-0 during Matchday 11 of the NWFL Premiership 2024-25 season. The match commenced at a high tempo, with Bello netting the first goal just 2 minutes in with an impressive strike. Akekoromwei Janet quickly followed, scoring three goals in rapid succession at the 3rd, 5th, and 24th minutes, which established a 4-0 lead for Nasarawa Amazons by halftime.

In the second half, Mathias Josephine contributed another goal, bringing the score to 5-0. The Amazons then shifted their approach, focusing on maintaining possession and showcasing their tiki-taka style of play, much to the delight of the spectators.

Technical Adviser Christopher Danjuma commended his team’s effort, stating, “We created several opportunities early in the match and took advantage of them to secure the victory. We are developing the team collectively, with our main objective being to qualify for the super six stage.”

Confluence Queens’ Technical Adviser, Coach Sabo Okala, recognized the superiority of Nasarawa Amazons, remarking, “My opponents are the stronger team. We struggled with concentration and communication, which contributed to the majority of the goals conceded. They are an excellent team, and with greater cohesion, I believe they will achieve significant success.”

Nasarawa Amazons will next compete against Ekiti Queens on Matchday 12 of the NWFL Premiership in Ibadan.
