Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen could be subject to disciplinary action following an alleged offensive gesture towards rival fans after Galatasaray’s 2-1 defeat to Beşiktaş in the Istanbul Derby.
The incident took place as Osimhen was leaving the pitch and heading toward the dressing room, with Galatasaray’s goalkeeper accompanying him.
Turkish journalist Ridvan Aksu reported that Osimhen’s actions, which were reportedly captured on camera, are now under investigation.
Aksu suggested that Osimhen should have been booked for the gesture, which would have led to a suspension for Galatasaray’s upcoming Super Lig match against Samsunspor.
However, as of now, the Super Lig organisers have not yet announced any official sanctions against the Nigerian forward.
The situation has sparked controversy among fans and pundits alike, with many eagerly awaiting the decision from the Super Lig authorities regarding Osimhen’s alleged misconduct.
