Osimhen turns down Mendes approach despite Barcelona and Real Madrid offer

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has rejected an approach from super agent Jorge Mendes, according to Turkish journalist Ali Naci Kucuk.
Kucuk reported that Mendes’ chief adviser, Umberto Saldavor, travelled to Istanbul three weeks ago to meet the Galatasaray S.K. forward.
Speaking to 343 Digital, Kucuk said Saldavor presented Osimhen with the prospect of joining either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
“During the offer, he used the phrase ‘Barcelona, Real Madrid, whichever you want, I can take you there,’” Kucuk said.
Osimhen declined the proposal, replying: “I only work with my lawyer, I’m happy at Galatasaray.”
Mendes previously represented Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Osimhen became a Galatasaray S.K. player on a permanent basis after the Turkish club signed him for €75 million in July 2025.
The Nigeria international has also turned down several other high-profile approaches, including offers worth up to €120M–€130M from European clubs and a bid from Saudi side Al-Hilal.
