Peter Amoran: Parma defender linked with Mantova move

Swedish-Nigerian centre-back Peter Amoran is being linked with a move from Parma to Serie B club Mantova.

The 22-year-old defender is under contract with Parma until 30 June 2027, but could leave the Serie A side after returning from a season-long loan at Cesena. Amoran spent the 2025-26 campaign away from Parma before rejoining the club at the end of June.

Amoran has yet to make an appearance for Parma in the current Italian Cup campaign. He joined the club’s senior setup from Parma’s Under-19 side in February 2024 and was part of the squad that won the Serie B title during the 2023-24 season.

The defender, who was born in Abuja and holds Swedish and Nigerian nationality, has also spent time on loan at Perugia. His development has largely taken place in Italy since moving to Parma’s academy from Swedish club Ostersund in 2022.

Mantova’s interest would represent a possible return to Serie B for Amoran, who has previously featured in the division during his time with Parma and through his loan spells. Any move would need to be agreed with Parma, given the centre-back’s existing contract with the club.
