Real Madrid close on €100m Yan Diomande deal as Arsenal interest puts focus on Vinicius Junior future

Real Madrid are on the verge of completing the signing of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande in a deal worth more than €100m – a move that could have major implications for the future of Vinicius Junior and the Spanish club’s summer transfer plans.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Real Madrid have reached a final agreement with Leipzig for the Ivory Coast international, with only the formalities of medical tests and the contract signing still to be completed. Diomande is expected to fly to Madrid in the coming days to undergo his medical and sign a deal running until June 2031.

Journalist Hector Gonzalez reported on Cadena SER’s programme El Larguero that Real Madrid could officially announce the transfer as early as Monday. That would allow the 22-year-old – who operates primarily as a left-sided forward – to join training immediately under new head coach Jose Mourinho.
