Southampton manager urges more goals from ‘dedicated’ Onuachu

By Wale Mustapha

Southampton manager Ivan Juric has called for more goals from Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, following his crucial contribution in the club’s 2-1 victory over Ipswich in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Onuachu scored the winning goal, his second of the season, helping Southampton secure their second win of the campaign.

His Nigerian teammate, Joe Aribo, had opened the scoring in the same match.

Juric was impressed by Onuachu’s quick response to score, noting that the 30-year-old forward is currently enjoying a strong run of form.

However, the manager believes there is still more to come from the striker.

“It was a great moment. He [Onuachu] deserved it because he really worked hard,” Juric told to the club’s official website..

“It’s his second goal, but I think he can score more. He is dedicated and really worked hard for the team.”
