Sporting Lagos and Nasarawa United secure away wins as Enyimba are held by Warri Wolves

Sporting Lagos and Nasarawa United claimed important away victories in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday, while nine-time champions Enyimba were held to a goalless draw by Warri Wolves, according to BSNSports.com.ng.

Sporting Lagos came from behind to beat Plateau United 3-2 at the New Jos Stadium and record their second away win of the season.

Aliyu Baba put the visitors in front after 10 minutes, but Plateau United turned the game around before the interval. Victor Dawa scored twice to give the hosts a 2-1 lead at half-time.

Sporting Lagos levelled eight minutes after the restart when Victor Samuel found the net. Plateau United were then reduced to 10 men in the 80th minute after Alex Aghahowa was sent off for a foul.

The visitors took advantage of their numerical superiority three minutes later, with Jacob Aondona scoring in the 83rd minute to complete the comeback and secure all three points.

Nasarawa United also returned from Lagos with maximum points after beating Inter Lagos 2-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan.

Kelechi Ogbodo and Ugochukwu scored for Nasarawa United, who had enough to see off their hosts and claim an impressive victory on the road.

At the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, Kano Pillars edged Katsina United 1-0. Yahaya Ibrahim scored the only goal of the match to give the home side victory.
