Paris FC hold off Rennes in seven-goal thriller to join PSG at Ligue 1 summit

Paris FC moved level on 14 points with league leaders Paris Saint-Germain after edging Rennes 4-3 in a dramatic Ligue 1 match at the Stade Jean Bouin on Sunday.
Moses Simon began the game on the bench before being introduced with 11 minutes remaining as Paris FC held on for a victory that appeared to have slipped from their grasp late on.
Maxime Lopez put the hosts ahead in the 14th minute and restored their advantage with a second goal in first-half stoppage time. Esteban Lepaul’s penalty in the 29th minute had brought Rennes level before the interval.
Rennes received two more opportunities from the spot after the break, with Lepaul converting both the 74th- and 88th-minute penalties to complete his hat-trick and put the visitors in front.
However, Lassine Sinayoko responded two minutes later to make it 3-3 before keeping his composure to score a penalty in the seventh minute of added time and secure all three points for Paris FC.
The result leaves Paris FC level with defending champions Paris Saint-Germain at the top of Ligue 1 on 14 points.
Paris Saint-Germain retained first place after beating Strasbourg 3-1 on Saturday, despite resting most of their key players.
