Stanley Eguma fumes at Rivers United’s profligacies despite win over Heartland

Technical Adviser of Rivers United Stanley Eguma has expressed displeasure with his strikers’ wastefulness and charged them to buckle up.
The Pride of Rivers managed a slender 1-0 win over Heartland on Sunday in their Matchday 26 of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL encounter decided at the Adokie Amiesimeka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Ukeme Williams scored the decisive goal to give Rivers United maximum points in match Eguma believed his team should have scored more goals as a mark of their dominance.
“We played well and we had a lot of scoring chances. If we had converted, it would have been more than one goal,” Eguma stated in a post match interview.
“It’s a game we dominated from the beginning to the end but we were unlucky not to score more goals.
“But at least that one goal has given us three points and it’s ok. I thank our players for their effort and also our management.”
Rivers United have recorded 31 points from 23 games this season with three games at hand.
