“There’re several offers” — Kelechi Iheanacho boasts after his Sevilla’s move

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has opened up on his transfer to Sevilla, insisting he got a lot of offers from other European clubs.

Iheanacho became the second Nigerian to join Sevilla this summer, following Chidera Ejuke.

The 27-year-old joined the seven-time Europa League champions following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City.

In his over five seasons with the Foxes, he scored 30 Premier League goals 

“Yes, there were a lot of offers from various clubs, but Sevilla had a clear idea of what they wanted me to do and why they brought me here,” he said via club’s website. 

“Considering the football environment and the club’s achievements, I was certain that I wanted to come here. I’m excited to embrace this opportunity and give it my all.”

The forward will be looking to start a new life in Spain and hopes to establish himself as one of Sevilla’s top attackers.
