“They gave a good fight” – Nwaneri Adanna hails Dannaz Ladies despite Abia Angels win

Abia Angels head coach, Nwaneri Adanna, has praised the performance of Dannaz Ladies following her team’s 2-0 victory over the Lagos-based club in their Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) encounter.

The Matchday Eight clash saw Abia Angels secure a crucial win, but Adanna acknowledged that it was a challenging match, as Dannaz Ladies fought hard throughout the game.

“They are a good team and gave a good fight,” Adanna said.

“We dominated the game by creating chances, but getting the goals was key for us. It’s important that we secured the points, and that’s what matters most.”

Adanna expressed relief at the result, noting that despite the tough opposition, her team was able to maintain control and capitalize on their opportunities.

Abia Angels, who now look ahead to their next match, will face the reigning champions, Edo Queens, in a highly anticipated encounter.
