Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen scored his third goal in the UEFA Europa League to help Galatasaray play out a 1-1 draw with Dutch side AZ Alkmaar on Thursday.
Sven Mijnan gave AZ Alkmaar an early lead in the second minute of play from Seiya Maikuma’s assist.
With two minutes before the end of the first half, Osimhen rose high to level the scoreline.
He buried a close-range header into the bottom left corner after a good run from Dries Martens.
The former Lille star, who is on loan from Napoli, played the duration of the match as he was yellow-carded in the 88th minute.
AZ Alkmaar was reduced to ten players as Kee Smit received his second yellow card in the additional minutes of the second half.
Osimhen has scored three goals with an assist in four UEFA Europa League games this season, added to his six in seven league games.
Galatasaray occupies the fourth position on the table with 11 points after five games behind Lazio, Athletic Bilbao, and Eintracht Frankfurt with 13 points apiece.
The Turkish side will next meet Eyuspor in the league on December 1, 2024.
