Man United in talks with RB Leipzig full-back

English Premier League giants Manchester United are in contact with RB Leipzig fullback Nordi Mukiele.

The versatile defender is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe as his contract with Leipzig runs to the end of next season; a situation that might force his club to cash on him instead of losing him for free in the coming year.

According to Fussball Transfers says United has made contact with the 24-year-old’s agents about a summer move after learning that PSG and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the player.

United, meanwhile, are prepared to make a bid for Mukiele this summer after receiving initial encouragement from his agents with new manager Ralf Rangnick said to be keen on adding a defender to his squad as he starts the team’s rebuild.

United interim manager Ralf Rangnick knows the player well having overseen the deal that saw him make the move to Leipzig from Montpellier in 2018.

The Frenchman has made 37 appearances across all competitions for his club this season, scoring twice and providing five assists.
