Nigeria forward Chinwendu Ihezuo scored her first goal of the Mexican women’s league season as her team, Pachuca, secured a 2-0 win against Mazatlan FC at the Estadio de Mazatlan.

Ihezuo had the first chance of the game in the first half but her header went wide.

Captain Veronica Corral broke the deadlock in the 25th minute from a loose ball in Mazatlan’s area.

From another loose ball in the additional minutes of the first half, Ihezuo put the ball over the goalie ending into the back of the net for the second goal of the match.

Ayooluwa is an American-born player for Pachuca. The defender has represented the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) at U-20 level.
