Samuel Chukwueze Family Announces Funeral Plans for Late Mother

The family of Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze has announced the funeral arrangements for his mother, Prophetess (Dr.) Mrs. Serah Chinyere Chukwueze (née Onyegbule), who passed away at the age of 59.

According to details released by the family, she will be laid to rest on Friday, May 29, 2026, in Umuahia, Abia State, where relatives, friends, well-wishers, and sympathisers are expected to gather to pay their final respects.

Samuel Chukwueze has grown into one of Nigeria’s most recognised football stars, earning admiration for his pace, creativity, and attacking brilliance throughout his career.

The winger has enjoyed an impressive journey at club level, where his performances and exciting style of play have made him a fan favourite and one of Nigeria’s standout exports in European football.

On the international stage, Chukwueze has also played a key role for the Super Eagles, contributing important performances and establishing himself as one of the team’s influential attacking players.

His direct approach, energy, and ability to produce moments of brilliance have made him a valuable figure for both club and country over the years.
