Nigerian champions Edo Queens made a stunning start to their 2026 WAFU-B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying campaign with a commanding 7-0 victory over AS Garde Nationale of Niger Republic in Niamey.
Edo Queens took control early, with Chioma Moses opening the scoring in the fifth minute.
Moses doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time before Doosuur Atume added a third just two minutes into the second half.
Atume struck again in the 56th minute to complete her brace before Aminat Folorunsho made it 5-0 six minutes later.
Moses completed her hat-trick in the 76th minute, while Oluwakemi Adegbuyi rounded off the emphatic victory with the seventh goal in the third minute of stoppage time.
Moses finished the game with a hat-trick, while Atume contributed two goals as Edo Queens delivered a statement performance in their quest for qualification for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
